The first governor of the Cape of Good Hope planted vines shortly after his arrival in 1652. His successor established vineyards in Constantia. French Huguenots arrived in 1688, adding their enological heritage to the future of Cape viticulture and wine. These are the stories of some of the people who continue the tradition of viticulture and wine today.
